Greetings Butterfly friends

As 2024 ends we’re delighted to share our news, celebrate our milestones, and look ahead to 2025 with gratitude and hope.

Your unwavering support - through donations, expertise and time has been the backbone of our success. Thank you for being part of this journey.

From all of us at Butterfly Trust, we wish you a joyful Christmas and a prosperous new year.

Celebrating milestones

Patient support: this year, we supported 49 patients. At present we are looking after 38 patients decreasing from 49 in March.

Growing caregiver network: our pool of carers has grown to 67 who are actively engaged members, with 45 awaiting placements. We are seeing a rising demand for male carers.

Community engagement: the number of enquiries via phone, email, social media, and referrals is a testament to the growing trust in our services.

Friends Together programme: with 43 members, including 5 lifetime members, this platform continues to foster camaraderie and support. We encourage you to join this inspiring community. (Linked is our sign-up form)

Equipment lending: we continue to lend home equipment for a small donation.

Training: in partnership with relevant experts and organisations, we trained 37 caregivers in these areas:

These sessions equipped our carers with invaluable skills to continue to deliver excellent care. They received certificates to recognise their growth.

Fundraising successes

Mayfair Insurance golf day: our partnership with Mayfair Insurance during their September golf event raised KES 500,000. We are so grateful for their generosity and support.

Kenton College Concert: the concert in October, featuring talented young performers, raised over KES 240,000. Thank you for your support in purchasing tickets and attending this memorable event.

Unclaimed auction items from the concert are still available. If you'd like to purchase any, contact Njoki Ann Waititu on +254 768 922 889. Your contribution will support our training programme.

Heart-warming testimonial

Here is one of several testimonials we have received;

"My brother George was wonderfully looked after by several Butterfly Trust carers. Mohammed was exceptionally caring and developed a deep bond with George. We are grateful for such dedication."

Do let us continue to receive your feedback.
